Three-piece sling with waist belt
- THREE-PIECE SYSTEM - Forearm pouch, padded shoulder strap and a separate waist belt. The waist belt is what stops the arm swinging away from the body.
- MORE RESTRICTION THAN A PLAIN SLING - A sling carries the arm; adding the body strap holds the upper arm against the trunk, which is the point of an immobiliser.
- PADDED SHOULDER STRAP - Cushioned across the neck and shoulder so the load is spread rather than concentrated on a narrow webbing band.
- SOFT PLUSH LINING - Brushed lining on the pouch and belt for wear against bare skin over long periods.

About this product
The Mitsu Shoulder Immobilizer is a three-part system: a shaped forearm pouch, a padded over-the-shoulder strap, and a waist belt that passes around the body.
The waist belt is the functional difference from an ordinary sling. A sling takes the weight of the arm but leaves it free to swing outward; the body strap holds the upper arm against the trunk so the shoulder joint is genuinely restricted. That is what makes it an immobiliser rather than a support.
All three components are soft-lined, and the shoulder strap is padded - necessary, because an immobiliser is typically worn continuously for days or weeks rather than for a few hours.
Important. a shoulder immobiliser is prescribed after specific injuries and procedures, and the fitting, the arm position and the wearing time are clinical decisions. Use it only as directed by your treating doctor or physiotherapist. Wearing one without that advice, or for longer than instructed, can cause problems of its own.
